Research Descriptions:
Short: Examining neurodevelopmental and behavioral outcomes in autism and 22q II Deletion Syndrome; neuroimaging of childhood disorders; early identification of autism.
Long: My research focuses on understanding the neurocognitive, social, and adaptive behavioral development of children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, as well as those with specific genetic disorders, such as 22q II Deletion Syndrome. I apply both neuropsychological assessment and neuroimaging techniques to identify critical diagnostic and biological markers which may predict short-term and long-term outcomes. My research also focuses on the early detection of autism in infants and toddlers.
