Sandra Garraway appointed to provide scientific leadership at Emory core facility

Sandra Garraway, PhD, Assistant Professor of Physiology at Emory University School of Medicine, is the new scientific director of the Emory Multiplex Immunoassay Core (EMIC). Dr. Garraway is also a NS faculty member.

EMIC is a School of Medicine-supported facility within the Emory Integrated Core Facilities. This core facility performs, analyzes and interprets multiplexed immunoassays that measure protein levels in a variety of biological materials including plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, blood and urine samples, tissue and vaginal swabs. 

Assistant Vice President for Research at Emory's Woodruff Health Sciences Center, Michael Zwick, PhD, says Garraway will be an outstanding leader for EMIC. Dr. Zwick is also a faculty member in the GMB and PBEE programs.
