Research Overview
The graduate program in Genetics and Molecular Biology (GMB) provides comprehensive training across genetics, molecular biology, and the intersecting disciplines of epigenetics, genomics, biochemistry, and cell and developmental biology. A wide range of research opportunities in bacterial, viral, human and eukaryotic model system genetics enable students to specialize in their area of interest while obtaining an essential foundation in genetics. This interdepartmental framework catalyzes collaborations between the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Medicine, and the Winship Cancer Institute.
