Michael Martin is the current PBEE Student of the Year! He is interested using mathematical models and viral genome sequence data to inform our understanding of viral epidemiology and evolution. Most recently he has used these methods to study the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 between human hosts and to understand the epidemiological factors shaping norovirus evolution.
